It is the star of the Christmas season and can be found in many living rooms with its magnificent flowers. But how do you care for it properly so that it doesn't just bloom now?

1️⃣ 🌱 Growth phase: After flowering, remove the wilted flowers (including stems). Water and fertilise the plant regularly and place it in a bright location.

2️⃣ 😴 Resting phase (from August): Stop watering the plant and store it in a cool, dark place. Allow the leaves to slowly retract.

3️⃣💡 Restart (from November): Water thoroughly at the beginning and then keep the soil slightly moist. Place the bulb in a bright, room-temperature location. Once the flower stem has reached approx. 10 cm, water twice a week.

✨ Raspberry tiramisu in a glass (for 10 glasses):

Ingredients: 250g mascarpone | 175g yoghurt | 75g icing sugar | 1 tbsp lemon juice | 125g whipping cream | 1/2 packet sponge fingers | 300g raspberries (freshly washed & dried or frozen) | a little cinnamon.

🌟 PREPARATION:
1️⃣ Mix lukewarm mascarpone with yoghurt, sugar, lemon juice and (optional: raspberry brandy) in a bowl.
2️⃣ Whip the cream and carefully fold it into the mascarpone mixture – do not stir too much!
3️⃣ Cut the sponge fingers to fit the glasses.
4️⃣ Finally, layer the sponge fingers, cream and raspberries alternately in glasses (start with sponge fingers, finish with cream). Refrigerate overnight.
5️⃣ Decorate with cinnamon or chopped nuts and serve.

👉 Enchant your guests with this quick and heavenly creamy recipe for crème brûlée (serves approx. 10), which is guaranteed to create sparkling moments:

🎃 Ingredients: For the base, you will need: 0.5 litres of milk | 1 litre of whipping cream | 1 packet of vanilla sugar | 200 g sugar | 1 teaspoon cinnamon | 2 vanilla pods | Zest of one lemon. Add 10 egg yolks or, alternatively, 500 g egg yolks.

✨ Preparation:
1️⃣ Mix all ingredients together and add the vanilla pulp from the vanilla pods.

🌟 RECIPE: CURRY LINSENDAL FROM "DER SCHÜTZENWIRT" 🌟

Der Schützenwirt is known for its successful combination of traditional cuisine and modern, creative accents.

✨Today, chef Robert shares a hearty and warming recipe for the cold season: an aromatic curry lentil dish that warms the body and soul:

🎄INGREDIENTS: Diced onion (200g) | Grated garlic cloves (2) | Canola oil (80ml) | Madras curry powder (10g) | Garam masala (5g) | Yellow lentils (250g) | Vegetable soup/water (750g) | Diced root vegetables (200g – e.g. pumpkin, carrot, celery) | Grated ginger (2 tsp) | Chili | Salt | Fresh herbs (cilantro, chives) | Emmer miso.

⭐ Preparation:
1️⃣ Slowly sauté the diced onion and garlic in rapeseed oil in a pot until translucent.
2️⃣ Add the Madras curry powder and garam masala and sauté briefly.
3️⃣ Add the lentils and vegetable soup and cook until the lentils are almost done.
4️⃣ About 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time, add the diced root vegetables and cook until the lentils are soft.
5️⃣ Add ginger, chili, salt, miso, and fresh herbs and season to taste.
6️⃣ Important: Do not cook for too long to preserve vitamins and flavor. Adjust the consistency with vegetable soup if necessary.

➡️ To keep the fun safe, Marc Hörhager shares four important ‘safety first rules’ for handling pyrotechnics:

1️⃣ Pyrotechnics are divided into categories: F1 (from 12 years of age, e.g. firecrackers), F2 (from 16 years of age, e.g. batteries, rockets) or P1/S1 (from 18 years of age). Only buy products that correspond to your age group.
2️⃣ The specified minimum safety distance (e.g. height of 80 m = 80 m distance) must be observed at all times. More distance is always better! Make sure there are no flammable materials in the vicinity.
3️⃣ When lighting, never hold your head or other body parts over the rocket or battery. Light it from a safe distance.
4️⃣ Once the product has been lit, wait 15 minutes and then extinguish it with water. Caution! The cardboard box may continue to burn! The battery can then be safely disposed of in the residual waste bin.

🌟 HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATIONS - FH SALZBURG 🌟

Around 3,400 students are currently studying at FH Salzburg, and many of them are getting creative with their projects in our workshops.

✨ This year, students from the Kuchl campus have made some homemade Christmas tree decorations for you.

✨ YOU WILL NEED:
▪️Sturdy cardboard or a thin wooden board (approx. 2 mm thick)
▪️A nice piece of string
▪️Scissors or a fretsaw
▪️Liquid glue (if necessary)

✨ INSTRUCTIONS:
1️⃣ Paint your chosen motif (e.g. the FH Salzburg owl) twice onto cardboard or a thin wooden board.
2️⃣ Cut out both motifs with scissors (or a fretsaw).
3️⃣ Slit for joining: To do this, cut a slit through the thickness of the material from the top to the middle on one motif and from the bottom to the middle on the other.
4️⃣ Paint both motifs and put them together.
5️⃣ Make a hole in the homemade Christmas tree bauble and thread a string through it to hang it on the Christmas tree.
6️⃣ Hang it on the Christmas tree and enjoy the festive season.
7️⃣ For extra hold, the two parts can also be glued together.

🌟 RECIPE: Vanilla crescent egg liqueur🌟

🌟 Give the gift of Christmas cheer from your kitchen! 🌟 The @zentrumvisionen has a recipe for creamy vanilla crescent egg liqueur for you:

🥄Ingredients: 2 vanilla pods or 2 teaspoons bourbon vanilla paste | 50 g ground almonds (without skin) | 200 g whipping cream | 200 ml milk | 120 g sugar | 1 pinch of salt | 200 ml vodka

✨ Preparation:
1. Cut the vanilla pods lengthwise and scrape out the seeds.
2. Lightly toast the ground almonds in a pan without fat to release their aroma.
3. Add the cream, milk, sugar, salt, vanilla seeds and pods to the almonds.
4. Bring the mixture to the boil while stirring, then simmer gently for about 3 minutes.
5. Purée the hot mixture, then remove the vanilla pods and pass the liquid through a fine sieve.
6. Bring to the boil again briefly, then remove from the heat and stir in the vodka.
7. Pour the liqueur into clean bottles while still warm, seal well and leave to cool.

🎄 Tip:
▪️When well chilled, the liqueur will keep for about 2 weeks.
▪️Shake well before serving!
▪️Refine it with cinnamon or a hint of tonka bean.
▪️Filled into bottles, with a handwritten label and a small sprig, it makes a personal Advent gift!

🌟 CHRISTMAS STOLLEN FROM PFÖSS 🌟

The smell of fresh stollen is simply part of the Advent season! Today, the Pföss organic bakery is revealing its secret and sharing the original recipe for a moist Christmas stollen. Baked with organic ingredients and lots of love, it tastes like it came straight from the bakery!

👉Recipe (for 1 large) Christmas stollen:

🌟Ingredients: 500g wheat flour | 200ml water | 1 cube of yeast (42g) | 150g butter | 80g icing sugar | 200g raisins | candied orange peel/lemon peel/almonds (80g each) | 50g hazelnuts | 2 egg yolks | pinch of salt | lemon zest | 1 tsp vanilla.

🌟Preparation:
1️⃣ Pre-dough: Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water with 1 teaspoon of sugar, stir in 100g of flour. Cover and leave to rise for 20–30 minutes until the dough has doubled in size.
2️⃣ Main dough: Mix the remaining flour, salt, icing sugar, egg yolks, softened butter, lemon zest and vanilla. Add the pre-dough and knead everything for approx. 8–10 minutes to form a soft, smooth dough.
3️⃣ Knead in the raisins, candied orange peel, candied lemon peel, almonds and hazelnuts. The dough will now become heavier, which is normal!
4️⃣ Cover the dough and leave to rise in a warm place for 60–90 minutes until it has risen significantly.
5️⃣ Shape the dough into an elongated form, press in the typical indentation and fold one half over the other (see video on Instagram). Bake in a preheated oven at 170 °C top/bottom heat for 50–60 minutes.
6️⃣ After baking, brush with melted butter and dust generously with icing sugar. Done!

1️⃣ The dishwasher rule: NEVER put your high-quality knives in the dishwasher! The aggressive salts and high temperatures attack the steel. Always clean knives by hand.
2️⃣ Store correctly: Protect the sensitive blade by storing knives in a knife block, on a magnetic strip or with a blade guard. If left loose in a drawer, they will quickly become blunt.
3️⃣ The right surface: Never cut on glass, ceramic or stone. These hard materials will immediately blunt your blade. It is best to use cutting boards made of wood or soft plastic.
4️⃣ Keep your knife sharp by regularly maintaining it with a whetstone, using the correct angle and applying only light pressure. Clean and dry the blade afterwards to keep it sharp for a long time.
